Disney. Ugh. Stick to your own kind.

Thanks to Twilighters Anonymous, we were able to hear more news about the upcoming New Moon movie. Turns out Brenda Song (from Disney’s Suite Life, although I really do adore her haha) and Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) have been in queue for the role of Leah Clearwater! WTH???

***DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HAVE YET TO READ NEW MOON***

MTV had this to say:

For the past month, rumors have been circulating that two Disney Channel stars are in contention for the role of Leah Clearwater. Leah is Jacob’s fiesty and heartbroken frienemy, who…umm… also happens to be a werewolf!

We all know the back and forth of who would be playing Jacob Black from here on forth because of the whole “appearance” issue, so of course there is a lot of hoo-haa about Brenda and Vanessa – why? Because they are too damn short (and in my opinion, not feisty enough to play Leah’s role, well Brenda might have what it takes, but she, along with many asians like myself, suffers from vertical growth).

I don’t know about you, but I would absolutely HATE to see these puny ass Disney characters try to muddle in my vampy fantasies – ffffff that! Plus, Leah is such a badass and I plan to collect posters of all the characters from the movies, one of which will NOT be ms. prissy Vanessa on my wall.

Who do you think should play Leah Clearwater??

If I had a say and if this were a few years ago, I’d say Shannyn Sossamon =)
